Ezirk‘s frivolous And Friends Records is about to drop its 5th VA release. This incarnation is a blend of House and Disco, and features the talents of Cosmocomics, FabioLous Barker, G Prajekt and Mauro Vecchi.
Cosmocomics – Make My Love Brighter represents the House contingent of the EP. It’s strong with early 90ies House flavors and sounds. Loopy, infectious and impeccably tight.
FabioLous Barker – I Think I Wanna Dance is a classic high quality release from a genre master. A gentle but firm update of ‘Mtume – Be A Star‘ which quite obviously displays his skills as an editor.
G Prajekt – Rainbow In The Sky belongs to the Disco contingent of the release. A fast paced, melodic and uplifting House progger with some heavy 80ies tinged synth lines are joined by a consignment of strings.
Mauro Vecchi – Dripping Passion fuses House influences with a tight grip around the Disco balls. Sultry and sullen, Italian up and comer, Mauro Vecchi, creates a looped up groove belter with some serious Funk influences.
And Friends Records keeps impressing with this essential EP fusing veteran talent with youngbloods.
