Skogsberg & Akdogan have been absolutely slam-dunking it in 2025 with release after release hitting it just right for me. I’ve played their tracks on Hot To The Touch and they’ve been wrecking havoc in the Discoholics Anonymous lair.

The Funk sits right up there with the best of them. Funky slap bass – Check. Funky horn section – Check. Catchy hook – Check. The Funk delivers on all vital parameters and showcases what these boys do best: Laying down some insanely well-produced nu disco tracks that rank with the best offered in the genre, consistently.

Also a massive fist bump to the House Heads label who’ve been in the game since 2023. They seem to have found a very sound formula for their sound and presence, and my ears are peeled.

Discoholics Anonymous doesn’t ask for cookies. It slips them into your pocket while you’re not looking, the way clubs used to slip flyers into your coat lining at 4:37 in the morning. Some of them are harmless — the house keys. They keep the lights on, remember who you are, stop the whole thing collapsing when you hit refresh. Without them the site is just a room with no door. The others are curious little spies. They want to know which mixes you stayed for, which ones you ghosted, whether you
