Danish DJ/producer Anders Midtgaard aka. Midtgaard swept my feet away with this sunshine fueled butterfly of a track called Sommerfugl (which is Danish for butterfly).
Sommerfugl is an uptempo Balearic track that has a super organic feel to it. The piano riff gets right into your brain and spreads out its wings putting a smile on your face.
The overall vibe has equal amounts of Samba and Balearic, yet Midtgaard and his crew places it completely in its own audio realm.
This has got to be one of the finest things to come out of Denmark, music wise, for a long time.
The release is packed with four terrific remixes by Moplen, Kaidi Tatham, Mike Salta and Rayet.
Sommerfugl was initially released as a vinyl only back in March 2021, but is now available digitally.
This has instantly turned into my summer anthem of 2021. I can’t recommend this track enough.
