Dim Zach’s remixing skills ranges among the best of the best. He’s got an unmistakeable sound, yet always manges to break new ground with his eclectic approach. His remix of “Billie Jean” layers synths like liquid neon, draping the groove in rhinestones and electricity.
It’s bound to turn heads.

Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean  was a fever dream wrapped in paranoia and groove. Inspired by obsessive female fans who falsely claimed he had fathered their children, Jackson distilled his anxieties into a brooding, bass-driven masterpiece.

One woman took it too far, sending him letters, a photo of the supposed child, and even a gun, urging him to end his life if he refused responsibility. The experience haunted him, shaping the song’s chilling refrain: “But the kid is not my son.”

Jackson wrote the track in a near-trance while driving his Rolls-Royce down Ventura Freeway, so lost in its rhythm that he didn’t notice his car was on fire. Producer Quincy Jones initially resisted the song – he disliked the title and wanted to cut down the long intro – but Jackson fought for it. He was right.

From its hypnotic bassline to the Motown 25 performance where Jackson debuted the moonwalk, Billie Jean became more than just a hit – it became legend. It shattered MTV’s racial barriers, won Grammys, and remains one of the most iconic pop tracks ever recorded.

Some songs fade. Billie Jean haunts.

Discoholics Anonymous doesn’t ask for cookies. It slips them into your pocket while you’re not looking, the way clubs used to slip flyers into your coat lining at 4:37 in the morning. Some of them are harmless — the house keys. They keep the lights on, remember who you are, stop the whole thing collapsing when you hit refresh. Without them the site is just a room with no door. The others are curious little spies. They want to know which mixes you stayed for, which ones you ghosted, whether you
