Kristoff MX really peaked my attention near the end of 2020. His sound is versatile and engaging, and he spans wide both in expression and genre wise.

His new two-tracker on Furious Mandrill Records is a magnificent example of what he’s capable of.

I selected FAWL (From Africa With Love) from Mandrill Cuts 015, which is a hybrid between Disco and Afro.
Deep congas and chattering cuts through the jungle maze before the track dives in for the groove. It has an electrical surge built in, which adds an element of surprise and wonder.
Xylophone and horns enter the fray and delivers a funky groove to the Afro theme established.

We’re in love here at the Discoholic HQ!
