Djordje Zivkovic, known in the electronic world as Hiva, is a DJ and producer hailing from Serbia — a place where rhythm can be rebellion and sound is often shaped by struggle and spirit.

Over the years, Hiva has carved a place for himself in the global scene, with his tracks finding homes on influential labels like Spa In Disco, Nervous, Cr2 Records, Let There Be House, Cruise Music, Material, Groove Culture, and a host of others.

I first noticed Hiva on his Spa In Disco track, Hola, which has remained a fast player on my playlists since I heard it the first time.

Smooth Jazz Silk, released on Salted Music, is a mid-tempo gem — building on a sophisticated groove. It doesn’t demand your attention so much as it earns it, weaving a House-inflected groove with a jazz soul that feels both effortless and deliberate.

Hiva constructs the track with a quiet precision, layering textures with the kind of finesse that comes from knowing exactly what not to overstate. The result is a track that doesn’t merely blend into a set — it lifts it, casting a subtle glow that stands out no matter where it’s dropped.

Discoholics Anonymous doesn’t ask for cookies. It slips them into your pocket while you’re not looking, the way clubs used to slip flyers into your coat lining at 4:37 in the morning. The others are curious little spies. They want to know which mixes you stayed for, which ones you ghosted, whether you
