Londoner Pete Ellison continues his series of 80ies remixes with this funked up revamp of Prince’s U Got The Look.

It’s 1987, and Prince is at the height of his powers—locked in his Paisley Park dreamworld, armed with a LinnDrum, a Telecaster, and the kind of confidence that could part clouds. Out of that electric haze comes U Got The Look—three and a half minutes of swagger, lust, and pure Minneapolis voltage.

Sheena Easton slips into the mix like a spark hitting oil, her voice slicing through Prince’s pitched-up “Camille” snarl. It’s a duel, a flirt, a performance piece wrapped in synth sweat and purple smoke. Every beat snaps, every guitar stab flirts with chaos, and Prince grins through it all—half saint, half sinner, all showman.

Pete Ellison’s remix is pumped up on funk and with a modern pace and progression on the mix, ready to stir up a frenzy on the floor.

Discoholics Anonymous doesn’t ask for cookies. It slips them into your pocket while you’re not looking, the way clubs used to slip flyers into your coat lining at 4:37 in the morning. The others are curious little spies. They want to know which mixes you stayed for, which ones you ghosted, whether you
